Intel acquired the smartwatch brand Basis and launched several products within the New Devices Group at Intel. Melissa was the Creative Director for the Basis brand. Her focus was leading the wrist wearable and consumer software space. Her responsibilies included managing a design team and workflow for marketing while providing vision and strategic support to the product and marketing partners. The two examples shown here illustrate how a strategic thinking can impact a visual system. Both Coppertone and Benjamin Moore's customers had new emotional and functional needs. Coppertone wasn't just about the beach and avoiding a sunburn, while Benjamin Moore's consumer needs shifted from functional and simple to personality and expression.

Addicaid is Angelhack NY winning concept as a modern solution to addiction assistance for youth culture. Melissa designed the branding, UI, UX, and design to bring the concept to life and make addiction and counseling something colorful and inspiring. The app is an anonymous social network, AA meeting finder/calendar, content provider and gamification system. The logo means combined mental and physical health.
Melissa's design thinking helped win initial funding and press for the concept.
The Zacapa story reaches its peak at The House Above the Clouds, 7544ft above sea level where the virgin sugar cane is aged to create this wonderful rum. The visual language and design reflect the magical story of Zacapa.
